What is bmw e46 gtr?

The BMW E46 GTR is a racing car developed by BMW Motorsport for the American Le Mans Series. It is based on the BMW E46 M3 car and was built to compete in the GT class.

The car features a lightweight carbon fiber body and a modified 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces around 450 horsepower. It also has a six-speed sequential gearbox and a limited-slip differential.

The E46 GTR was successful in the American Le Mans Series, winning the GT class championship in 2001 and 2002. However, its success was short-lived as BMW withdrew from the ALMS in 2003 and the car was eventually retired.

Today, the BMW E46 GTR is a highly sought-after race car, with only six examples ever built. They are often sold for millions of dollars at private auctions and remain popular amongst BMW racing enthusiasts.
